Naomi is currently enjoying some maternity leave from May 2021 therefore is not taking on any new clients. She is however still in the office, taking calls and available for advice over the phone.

Naomi graduated from Cardiff University in 2008. She gained a variety of experience working in a number of Cardiff hospitals, including the University Hospital of Wales, where she gained valuable experience in the fields of respiratory, medical, paediatrics, musculoskeletal, brain injury rehab, elderly care, day hospital services and intermediate multidisciplinary care teams.

Naomi has specialised in complex elderly care and admission avoidance since 2010. She particularly enjoys the challenge of working with clients who have dementia and those who are really keen to return to a higher level of mobility and function following illness or a recent hospital stay.

Naomi was instrumental in setting up a new therapy service in the A and E department of Prince Charles Hospital in Wales where the goal was to avoid patients being admitted to hospital when there was no medical need to stay – they may have fallen, lost confidence or being treated for a minor illness which had caused a significant decrease in their ability to cope at home.

In 2013 Naomi relocated back to her home town of Ringwood and quickly secured a clinical leadership position in the Older Person’s Therapy team at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, a post which she was incredibly passionate – although she left this full-time role to focus on the needs of her family and local population seeking private community physiotherapy input, she still keeps in touch with the NHS and does regular bank shifts for the Older Person’s Therapy team at Bournemouth Hospital as well as Intermediate Care Team in Bournemouth.

Naomi set up Medella Private Physiotherapy in 2011 after noticing a real need in the local area for a home physiotherapy service that can provide much needed slow stream rehab or rapid access to a home physiotherapy service that cannot be provided by the NHS. Naomi really values our NHS and Medella is there to provide what the NHS cannot. Due to Naomi’s extensive knowledge of NHS and social services in the local areas, she is able to guide and advise her patients to what they may be eligible for and can often make referrals to these services.
