Your council can carry out a free home assessment: in England, assessed aids and minor adaptations costing up to £1,000 must be provided free, and larger changes may qualify for a Disabled Facilities Grant, subject to its assessment and funding rules. Many people choose a private assessment for independent advice or to plan ahead.
For larger projects, we provide the detailed clinical reports and justifications required for funding applications, such as the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG). Local councils often require a clinical report from an Occupational Therapist to support grant applications.
