Andrea McKee

Senior Physiotherapist

Specialising in: Arthritis & Joint Pain · Elderly Rehab & Mobility · Post Surgery Rehab · Falls Prevention

Covering: Fareham, Hedge End, Hamble, Bishops Waltham, Wickham, Swanmore and surrounding areas

“After two decades in physiotherapy, what still motivates me most is helping someone get back to the things they love — whether that’s walking to the village shop again or getting out into the garden. I work alongside people, not at them, to rebuild strength and confidence at a pace that feels right.”

Andrea is a Senior Physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience, providing home visits across Bishops Waltham, Hedge End, Wickham, Swanmore, Hamble and Fareham. She balances her work with Medella alongside a senior role on a Major Trauma team within the NHS.

A career across the NHS and military

Andrea’s career has taken her through major NHS teaching hospitals in Plymouth, Oxford, and Southampton, and includes time as a physiotherapist for the British military in both England and Germany. That breadth has given her hands-on experience across nearly every physiotherapy speciality, with particular depth in orthopaedics, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and the care of older adults.

Specialist in complex rehabilitation

Within her current NHS role on the Major Trauma team, Andrea works with patients recovering from serious injuries, complex fractures, joint replacements, falls, and periods of frailty. She brings that same specialist focus into her home-visit practice with Medella — particularly for clients who need careful, staged rehabilitation after surgery, a fall, or a hospital admission.

How Andrea works with her patients

Andrea is, above all, a collaborator. She believes the best rehabilitation comes from understanding what each person actually wants to be able to do again — and then building the plan around that. Expect a calm, encouraging approach focused on practical progress: regaining mobility, rebuilding strength, and restoring the independence that matters most to you and your family.

Outside of work

When she’s not with patients, Andrea is usually outdoors. She’s a keen rock climber, and spends a lot of her family time at their allotment — which she says keeps her honest about how hard physical activity is to maintain into your forties and fifties, and how rewarding it is when you do.
