"We had Seena help my 91 year old mum recover from a hip replacement operation last year. Seena was excellent at encouraging my mum to do all the appropriate exercises and getting her confidence back after her fall. We have been very pleased with the results. We have been using Seena on a weekly basis for 10 months as we see the benefit she is giving to my mum. She would not be as strong on her feet if we did not have Seena helping us. Thank you Seena."

Why Choose Home Visits in South Hampshire?
South Hampshire is a busy, populous corner of the county — but getting to a clinic appointment isn't always easy when you're recovering from surgery, have limited mobility, or are caring for an older relative. By bringing expert care to your home, we remove the stress of travel so you can focus entirely on recovery.
Treatment in Your Real Environment
We assess and treat you in your own home — practising on your stairs, getting in and out of your chair, and navigating your bathroom. This makes therapy immediately relevant to daily life.
No Waiting Lists
As a private practice, we don't have NHS-style waiting times. Most South Hampshire patients are seen within days of their first call — essential after discharge from Southampton General or Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Family Can Be Involved
Home visits mean family members or carers can easily join sessions, learn exercises, and understand how to support recovery between appointments.

"I highly recommend Medella Home Physio. They have been looking after my father after a series of small strokes with kindness, compassion & encouragement that has seen him progress both physically & mentally. They have communicated with the care home staff to ensure they understand his needs, and have helped me with finding suitable wheelchair options when I was totally overwhelmed with the choices available."
— Fiona Ball
"Jo was excellent in supporting my 99 year old dad after he suffered a hip fracture. She supported him to get mobile and provided exercises to help him regain muscle strength. Lots of incredibly helpful suggestions and an extremely positive and encouraging therapist — we are extremely grateful!"

Supporting South Hampshire Care Home Residents
We provide physiotherapy and occupational therapy to residents in care homes, nursing homes and retirement living settings across South Hampshire. FAQs About Our South Hampshire Service
Which areas of South Hampshire do you cover?
We cover the whole of South Hampshire, including Southampton, Eastleigh and Fareham, plus Chandlers Ford, Hedge End, Botley, Bursledon, Hamble, Totton, Whiteley, Park Gate, Locks Heath, Portchester and Titchfield. Choose your nearest town above for local information, or contact us and we’ll confirm whether we reach your address.
Do you cover the Meon Valley, Hedge End and Hamble?
Yes. As well as the main towns, we regularly visit Hedge End, Botley, Bursledon and Hamble, and the Meon Valley villages of Bishop’s Waltham, Wickham and Swanmore. Our Fareham-area physiotherapist Andrea McKee covers much of this patch. If you’re not sure whether we reach your village, get in touch — we can usually confirm straight away.
Do I need a GP referral to arrange physiotherapy in South Hampshire?
No. As a private practice, we don’t need a GP referral — you can contact us directly and we’ll usually arrange a first home visit within days. If you do have hospital or GP notes, sharing them helps your therapist plan, but they aren’t required to get started.
Can you help after a discharge from Southampton General or Queen Alexandra Hospital?
Yes — supporting older adults home after a hospital stay is one of the things we do most. The first weeks after discharge are when hospital-acquired deconditioning and falls are most likely, and NHS community waiting lists can be long. We can usually begin home physiotherapy or occupational therapy within days, with no GP referral needed.
How much does a home visit in South Hampshire cost?
Initial assessments are £120 (60–90 min) and include a thorough evaluation plus a written treatment plan. Follow-up sessions start from £60. The first 5 miles of travel from your therapist’s base are free, then £2 per mile. View our full price list.
