My Approach to Care

“My approach is centered on providing truly holistic care. I focus on what matters most to you, creating a tailored programme that works to optimise not just your physical movement, but your overall quality of life and independence.”

Why Choose Home Visits?

Recovering in your own environment is often more effective than visiting a clinic. We eliminate the stress of travel and waiting rooms, allowing us to assess your mobility where it matters most—safely in your own home. This approach is central to Medella’s mission of helping older adults regain independence without the hassle of hospital appointments.

Background and Experience

Rebecca graduated from Keele University in 2009. She initially worked in an orthopaedic and musculoskeletal setting before commencing her junior rotations at Bournemouth Hospital. Here she experienced a variety of clinical areas including stroke rehabilitation, respiratory care (including ITU), outpatient musculoskeletal, and elderly care.

In 2013, Rebecca progressed to a senior position within a neurological therapy team, working both in inpatient care and the community with a variety of neurological patients including stroke, brain injury, Guillain-Barré, and Multiple Sclerosis.

She now works at Christchurch Hospital leading the physiotherapy team, where her specialism has advanced to include complex falls prevention and vestibular (dizziness) rehabilitation. To support this specialist work, she has completed a Master’s module at Nottingham University in stroke rehabilitation and has attended a number of specialist courses for neurological and vestibular management.
