My Approach to Care
“My passion is providing accessible, person-centred care of the highest quality. I enjoy finding innovative and engaging exercises and activities to incorporate into our sessions, keeping you motivated as we work together to achieve your individual goals.”
Why Choose Home Visits?
Recovering in your own environment is often more effective than visiting a clinic. We eliminate the stress of travel and waiting rooms, allowing us to assess your mobility where it matters most—safely in your own home. This approach is central to Medella’s mission of helping adults regain independence without the hassle of hospital appointments.
Background and Experience
Leah graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2014 and has since gained extensive experience working within the NHS in Community Care, Neurological Rehabilitation, and Learning Disability Services. Before joining Medella, she spent six years as a Therapy Service Lead in Specialist Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) settings, working with children and young adults with complex additional needs.
Since qualifying, Leah has completed additional specialist training, including APPI Pilates Matwork and postgraduate MSc modules in Rehabilitation. She has successfully run rehabilitation exercise classes for balance and neurological conditions, as well as hydrotherapy services.
Her broad clinical skillset allows her to expertly assess and treat clients with falls and frailty, orthopaedic injuries, neurological conditions (such as Parkinson’s and MS), and learning disabilities.
