Catherine graduated from Brunel University in 2004. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and The Health & Care Professions Council. Catherine has worked in both the NHS and private sectors for over 20 years.

After graduating, Catherine worked in London in various clinical areas of physiotherapy including elderly care, respiratory, musculoskeletal outpatients, paediatrics, orthopaedics, community rehabilitation and neurology. Catherine then moved to Poole Hospital where she undertook further senior rotations in elderly care, respiratory (medical/surgical wards and Intensive care), orthopaedics (trauma) and oncology.

In 2009, Catherine began working on the Macmillan Unit in Christchurch. She worked there for 11 years, where she specialised in oncology, palliative care, and complex neurological conditions such as MND. Throughout this time, she worked on the inpatient unit, within the day centre and in the community visiting patients across East Dorset. Catherine gained further clinical experience in the management of lymphoedema, exercise within cancer care, fatigue, breathlessness, and anxiety. She also gained a great deal of experience in the management of long-term conditions, advanced care planning and complex moving and assisting.

In recent years, Catherine has gained experience in a special needs school, specialising and gaining experience in working with children and young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, rare syndromes, and degenerative conditions.

Alongside Medella, Catherine also works privately with children and young adults. She continues to work for a local private hospital, which she has done so in addition to her other local physiotherapy roles, for over 15 years, treating patients following orthopaedic, spinal, medical, gynaecological, and surgical procedures.

Catherine is a passionate, caring, and holistic physiotherapist who will work in unity with a client, their family and/or carers to achieve meaningful goals, improve quality of life, optimise function and gain/maintain independence.

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, wider family, and friends. She enjoys keeping fit and active, but you will mostly tend to find her on the sideline, watching her children undertake their sporting activities!
