My Approach to Care

“My passion is sharing a compassionate and enthusiastic approach to improving quality of life. My varied experience allows me to be truly holistic, working with you and your family on the things that really matter, however big or small they may seem.”

Broad Clinical Foundations

Lucy graduated from Cardiff University in 2013. She completed junior rotations at Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals, which provided her with a strong foundation in neurology, elderly care, respiratory, musculoskeletal outpatients, and orthopaedics. She then specialised in Neurology, gaining a senior role working with patients with conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s, and MS in both acute and community settings.

Specialist Community Rehab & Pilates

Lucy later moved fully into community care, working at an inpatient rehabilitation centre in Bournemouth. This role tapped into her varied knowledge by combining elderly care, orthopaedics, falls management, and neuro rehab. Keen to keep learning, she has completed courses in Movement Science and Motivational Interviewing. More recently, she expanded her clinical skills to become a Pilates instructor, which she uses in her physiotherapy practice and in group classes for balance, stroke rehabilitation, and lower back pain.
