Helena Drummond
Senior Physiotherapist
My Approach to Care
“I am passionate about helping every individual maximise their potential. My focus is on using targeted exercise and evidence-based techniques to help you live a healthy, active life, regardless of your diagnosis or health condition.”
Background and Experience
Helena graduated with a Physiotherapy MSc from the University of Essex. Her time as a junior physiotherapist was spent in a rotational role across various NHS departments before she moved to specialise in neurology over ten years ago.
She has extensive experience working with people with neurological conditions in both the private sector and the NHS, including working with patients across the stroke pathway from hospital admission to community rehabilitation. Helena was also responsible for setting up exercise classes for people with Parkinson’s after completing her PD Warrior course.
Advanced Clinical & Academic Leadership
Helena moved to the New Forest in 2021 and joined the stroke rehabilitation team at Lymington Hospital. Demonstrating her commitment to clinical excellence, she completed a further master’s degree at University College London on Advanced Physiotherapy: Neurophysiotherapy.
Alongside her clinical work with Medella, Helena serves as the course lead for the MSc Physiotherapy programme at the University of Portsmouth, where she enjoys inspiring and training the next generation of physiotherapists.
