“Case Managers need partners who understand clinical risk as well as they understand rehabilitation. Our team is exceptionally experienced—most of our clinicians have over 20 years of practice, with a team average of 18 years. We don’t just treat the patient; we manage the pathway to ensure your clinical and budgetary goals are met.”
— Naomi Patrick, Clinical Director & Chartered Physiotherapist
A Responsive Clinical Partner for Your Team
We understand that commissioning rehabilitation requires more than just clinical treatment. It requires a partner who understands the commercial and regulatory framework of the Rehabilitation Code. Medella acts as a seamless extension of your case management team.
Rapid Response
In urgent cases we can often offer assessment appointments within 48 hours of instruction, preventing failed discharges and interim payment delays.
Data-Driven
We can utilise Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) and UKROC measures to provide defensible data for your funding reports
Integrated MDT
Access both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy under a single instruction, reducing your administrative burden
Clinical Services for Catastrophic & Complex Injury
We understand that commissioning rehabilitation requires more than just clinical treatment. It requires a partner who understands the commercial and regulatory framework of the Rehabilitation Code. Medella acts as a seamless extension of your case management team.
Immediate Needs Assessment (INA) Support
We support Case Managers by providing specialist clinical appendices for your main INA reports. We deliver detailed treatment recommendations and accurate costings for 6–12 month rehabilitation packages, ensuring your budget proposals are clinically robust
Specialist Neuro-Rehab at Home
High-intensity community rehabilitation for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Spinal Cord Injury, and Stroke.
We ensure seamless continuity of the Rehabilitation Prescription following discharge from
Major Trauma Centres (MTCs). We bridge the gap between Level 2 inpatient units
and the community, preventing “failed discharges.”
Functional Recovery
Goal-oriented therapy focused on returning clients to meaningful activity. From graded return-to-work programs to regaining domestic independence
Measuring Outcomes & Return on Investment
In the current commissioning landscape, narrative reporting is not enough. We use standardised outcome measures to demonstrate the efficacy of our interventions.
Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS)
We work collaboratively with you and the client to set SMART goals. Our GAS reporting provides a statistical score for recovery, giving you clear evidence of progress to present to insurers and funding bodies
Cost Efficiency
Our Occupational Therapists specialise in “Single-Handed Care” assessments and equipment optimisation, often enabling a reduction in double-up care packages without compromising safety
Mobile Rehabilitation Across Wessex
We are a fully mobile service. We visit clients in their own homes, care homes, or workplaces across the south coast.
