Supporting Safety, Compliance & Quality of Life

Our therapists work alongside your care team to improve resident outcomes and help you meet regulatory standards.

Falls Management & Prevention

Proactive balance and strength classes, individual risk assessments, and detailed environmental reviews to reduce falls and improve CQC safety outcomes. Our occupational therapists examine how room layouts, furniture positioning, and equipment placement may be inadvertently preventing residents from moving safely and independently.

Staff Safety & Training

Expert moving and handling training that goes beyond safe technique. We empower your staff to enable residents to do more for themselves, shifting the focus from doing everything for a resident to supporting their independence through better positioning, environment setup, and encouragement of self-initiated movement.

CQC Compliance Support

Evidence-based care plans, documented risk assessments, and clinical outcome data to support your CQC inspection preparation and demonstrate quality of care.

On-Site Clinical Services

We bring specialist therapy directly to your care home, providing comprehensive clinical services for your residents and staff.

Falls Prevention & Mobility Classes

Group and individual sessions designed to improve balance, strength, and confidence. Our physiotherapists run structured programmes that reduce fall frequency and severity, helping residents maintain their independence.

  • Balance and strength assessment
  • Group exercise classes
  • Environmental hazard review

Seating & Postural Management

Our occupational therapists take a holistic look at how seating and room layout may be disabling a resident's independence. A chair that is too low, a table positioned in the wrong place, or a walking frame stored out of reach can all prevent a resident from standing and moving safely. We assess seating needs, recommend adjustments such as chair raisers and specialist cushions, reorganise furniture to enable safe movement, and ensure equipment is always within accessible reach.

  • Specialist seating assessment
  • Pressure relief guidance
  • Wheelchair provision support

Moving & Handling Training

Practical, hands-on training for your care staff. We cover safe manual handling techniques, correct use of hoists and transfer equipment, and resident-specific handling plans.

  • On-site staff training sessions
  • Equipment-specific guidance
  • Individual handling plans

Optimising Care Packages

Our single-handed care assessments can help your home reduce staffing costs while maintaining safe, dignified care. We assess whether residents currently on double-handed care plans can safely transition to single-handed care with the right equipment and techniques.

This approach not only frees up staff capacity but also promotes greater independence for residents. Our occupational therapists look beyond the immediate handling task, considering environmental factors, the resident's own goals, and what barriers in the room setup may be preventing them from doing more for themselves. We provide detailed written recommendations, equipment trials, and staff training that empowers your team to enable independence rather than inadvertently creating dependency.

  • Comprehensive single-handed care assessments
  • Equipment recommendations and trials
  • Staff training on new handling techniques
  • Documented care plan updates

Flexible Partnership Models

We work around your home's needs. Choose the arrangement that suits you best.

Ad-Hoc Referrals

Refer individual residents as and when they need therapy input. No contract or commitment required. We respond promptly to each referral.

Retainer Clinics

A therapist visits your home on a regular schedule to provide ongoing therapy and group classes. Ideal for homes with multiple residents requiring input.

Crisis Response

Urgent therapy input after a fall, hospital discharge, or sudden decline. We also support residents during the transition into your care home, a period that often involves significant losses — of home, independence, and choice. We aim to attend within 48 hours to assess the resident, address immediate needs, and help make the transition as meaningful and individual as possible.

Your Local Clinical Partners

We are a local practice based in Ringwood, covering care homes across Hampshire, Dorset, and Wiltshire. Our therapists know the area well and can attend your home promptly, whether you are based in Bournemouth, Southampton, Salisbury, or anywhere in between.

As a small, senior-led team, you will always deal directly with experienced clinicians rather than a call centre. We build lasting relationships with the care homes we work with, becoming a trusted extension of your care team. Our occupational therapists are particularly skilled at identifying residents who may be socially isolated — those spending time alone in their rooms or not engaging in group activities — and working with your staff to understand and address the individual barriers to participation.

Care Home FAQs

How can your service help with our CQC inspections?

We provide documented evidence of clinical interventions, outcome measures, and risk assessments that support CQC inspection requirements. Our care plans and progress reports demonstrate that your home is proactively managing falls risk, mobility needs, and resident wellbeing through qualified clinical input. This includes evidence of holistic occupational therapy assessments that address environmental factors, social participation, and the individual barriers each resident faces — areas that CQC inspectors increasingly expect to see addressed.

Do you offer ad-hoc visits or do we need a contract?

Both. You can refer individual residents on an ad-hoc basis with no contract required, or arrange a regular retainer where a therapist visits your home on a set schedule. Many care homes start with ad-hoc referrals and move to a retainer once they see the benefit.

Can you train our staff to use specific equipment?

Yes. We provide hands-on training for hoists, stand aids, slide sheets, transfer boards, and other moving and handling equipment. Training is delivered on-site using your own equipment so staff can practise in a real-world setting. We can also advise on whether new or different equipment would be safer or more efficient.

Do you provide reports for our care plans?

Absolutely. After every assessment and review, we provide a written clinical report with findings, recommendations, and updated goals. These reports are designed to integrate directly into your care plans and provide the evidence base that CQC inspectors expect to see.
