My Approach to Care

“I believe in providing empathetic and sensitive care, drawing on nearly two decades of professional experience. My goal is to support you through what can be difficult, life-changing situations, helping you to live as fully and independently as possible.”

Background and Experience

Having qualified nearly 20 years ago, Jo has gained a huge amount of experience in different areas, including orthopaedics, stroke and neuro rehabilitation, elderly rehabilitation and falls, and a long-term conditions community team. The majority of her experience has been working with the elderly, and she is committed to offering the best possible service for older people.

Jo works for the NHS within an acute assessment unit, where she provides a holistic rapid screening and assessment service to patients to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital. She can plan and implement treatment programmes and evaluate interventions, with a sound and up-to-date knowledge of Moving and Handling skills. She is confident in demonstrating equipment in a patient’s home in order to help family and carers where necessary.
