What to Expect from Your Home Visit
We understand that letting someone into your home is personal. That’s why we keep things simple, respectful, and entirely at your pace. Here’s exactly what you can expect – from your first contact to your ongoing care.
Step 1:Make an Enquiry
Call, email, WhatsApp, or use our contact form. We usually reply the same day. If we’re out visiting patients, leave a message and we’ll call you back as soon as we can.
Step 2: Speak with a Therapist
Free Phone Consultation: You’ll speak to one of our experienced physiotherapists or occupational therapists, not a receptionist.
We’ll ask a few questions to understand your needs and match you with the right team member. If we can help, we’ll arrange your first home visit at a convenient time.
Step 3: Your First Visit at Home
At your first session, your therapist will take a full history of your condition and carry out a physical assessment, looking at mobility, balance, joint movement, strength, and more.
They’ll discuss your goals, explore suitable treatment options, and answer any questions you may have.
We’ll always ask your consent before sharing any relevant information with your GP or consultant.
Step 4: Ongoing Treatment & Follow-up Sessions
Together we’ll agree on a personalised plan, based on your first assessment. Follow-up sessions might include strength-building exercises, help with pacing and fatigue, or practical rehab for daily tasks like bathing or dressing.
We can also advise on equipment like mobility aids or rails, available at cost if needed.
